What will you remember the most about Robin Williams????

We lost a very talent man this week. His name is Robin Williams.

What will you remember the most about Robin Williams??

I will remember his acting in dramatic roles and comedic roles.
Not many actors can do both......drama and comedy.......well.

May he find the peace he was looking for in this world in the next.

I'll remember a few of the roles that I especially liked.

I remember Bicentennial Man (based on a story by Isaac Asimov). His portrayal of Andrew from the almost comic beginning to the quest to be called a man is so touching. It is both dramatic and comedic in the same role. He was the perfect choice.

For comedy, I laugh and watch any time I can, his portrayal in Jumanji. It may not have gotten the highest ratings of his movies but I've never cared what the "experts" say. They rarely agree with me anyway! A little boy who goes into a "game" into the jungle and comes out 26 years later as an adult is just endearing!

I do have DVDs of both stories. Bicentennial Man is a case where Asimov's vision was given justice. I REFUSE to watch "I, Robot" because what I've seen is just a butchering of his original stories. What happened to the 3 laws?!?!

I will miss him. It's so sad that mental and emotional problems such as depression (also can be chemical) are so stereotyped now and many are afraid to get the help they need!
There is no such thing as a stupid question!

I will remember him for his movies, I loved Patch Adams and Mrs. Doubtfire, as well as many others. I am very glad that I gave him a chance to prove himself as a movie actor since for years after Mork and Mindy I had refused to consider anything he was in.
I'm sorry, but the character Mork From Ork just seemed vile to me. JMHO. It just shows how an actor can grow as they mature.
    He will be missed.

I also loved Jumanji. I know we're in the minority on that one.

I remember liking him back when he first started out. But it was obvious to me that he had issues, and the frenetic behaviour was either a symptom or a way of trying to deal with them. I always assumed that his behaviour was due to substance use, but after a while I realized that there was something else at play.

In later years, I just couldn't bear to watch him any more.

It's so sad that his life ended this way.

I loved his comedy dialogs. He was so funny.
Movie-wise I like his portrayal of Teddy Roosevelt in "Night at the Museum" and "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian". Ben Stiller was the main character of the movies, but Robins Williams was good too.

For me Robin will be remembered as a person who knew how to make people laugh. His comic genius, as far as I am concerned was surpassed by none. His portrayal in both comedy and dramatic movies was something not all actors could accomplish. Patch Adams, Nine Months, Mrs Doubtfire, Happy Feet I and II were the ones that stood out for me for comedy. In the dramatic area they were Good Will Hunting and Awakenings.

Whilst it is easy to associate Robin as an Actor and Comedian we must never forget his and Marsha's founding of the Windfall Foundation, a philanthropic organisation raising funds for many charities.

May Robin find the peace of mind and soul that he so desperately sought. May the chains that bound him to depression shatter into a thousand pieces, never to join again. Fly free Robin, memory of you will live on in those you have left behind.

I saw him once watching Star Wars Episode II at a local theater in San Francisco, and I went to elementary school with his son.
