Hello everyone
i sure hope i'm in the right place.
I'm in Canada and i've been trying to find the new DMC satin floss
Micheal's don't have it and the only two cross stitch supply store out here can't get them for me.
i really would love to work with it.
I heard it's easier to work with then the Rayon that DMC has.
I saw it on the DMC site.
If anyone can help i would really appreciate it.
Thank you

I think Satin floss was formerly rayon floss. 123stitch.com has a big variety, plus the service is great! You can see it here (http://www.123stitch.com/threads.html#rayon) They ship worldwide and have fast service, I live in Venezuela and chose it as my floss and fabric shop.
Hope it helps. :thimb:

According to Herrschners DMC's "new" Satin floss is actually just their old rayon floss renamed. Click here (http://www.herrschners.com/products/product.aspx?sku=701008).

The DMC website shows the article number of the Satin Floss to be 1008F and the rayon floss is 1008.

Rayon in 100 colors, Satin in 36...

Herrschners' Canada website has the Satin Floss (formerly Rayon Floss) listed and says 100 colours are available:

So it looks like if your LNS stocks "rayon", then it's the same thing.

Quote from this site:

DMC Satin© Threads: A six stranded divisible thread, with a lustrous sheen, ideal for embroidery, cross stitch and counted thread work. This range supercedes the DMC Rayon range. Compared to the Rayon range, this thread has less bounce and holds together better, making it easier to use.

So it sounds like a re-formulation of the rayon.
